Code snippets usually do not come with an individual license because it's normally just a few lines of code, but it can be more.

Including a license declaration to the code is a way to do it, but it makes simple code that much more difficult to understand. A file's content in an embed could simply include licensing in the header.

The most simple way to license (or release) code for snippets is to include a snippets legal section. The section should include the policy along with what it covers.

Example downloads are in an archive format and contain code.

Code products are foundational items for creating other things.
